About Lorna Wurm
Lorna is a licensed clinical social worker. She earned her degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1992. She has worked in a variety of settings including out-patient and in-patient centers, corporate EAP and crisis centers working with adolescents and adults, couples and families. Having an extensive knowledge regarding mental health and chemical dependency issues she also has amassed a wide knowledge base and experience with issues relating to life's developmental span. Issues such as academic/work pressure, marriage and pregnancy concerns, parenting issues, loss and grief. She has continued her education by attending courses that continue to update her on new relevant topics and to keep her self current with the newest beliefs and approaches.
Ms. Wurm enjoys working with a broad array of clients and uses an empathic and eclectic approach. She is supportive yet individualized and goal-oriented. She sees teens and adults as well as couples and families working to solve what they consider troublesome or to further enrich their lives. Many find her to have an easy approach. She is experienced in collaborating with other professionals such as teachers and doctors as directed by the client.
